Music Sales Choral Sampler 2017-18

Music Sales has released the annual choral sampler CD with music excerpts from our leading choral composers - essential listening for anyone seeking new choral repertoire.

Included on this year’s CD are a wide range of secular, popular and sacred music from Chester, Novello, Edition Wilhelm Hansen and the Schirmer Choral Series, aimed at choirs of all abilities. New works by Judith Weir, Paul Mealor, Nico Muhly, James Whitbourn, Carl Rütti, Richard Allain, Owain Park, John Joubert and Pawel Lukaszewski all feature on the disc and the online playlist.

One can also hear newly-published compositions by John McCabe, Richard Rodney Bennett and Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen.

Two excerpts from our latest choral compendium The Novello Book of Hymns are also included. This new collection consists of 50 favourite hymns, some newly written, some rearranged, for SATB choirs. The hymns have been arranged by a range of well-loved composers including Richard Lloyd, David Hill, Stephen Jackson, Philip Moore, and Christopher Robinson and are designed to be singable by congregations without music.
