Annelies Country premiere in Anne Frank’s home town
In April, Annelies, the choral work by James Whitbourn which sets the Diary of Anne Frank, will receive its German premiere in its chamber version. This will take place in Frankfurt, the home town of Anne Frank, at the Frauenfriedenskirche on April 29, performed by the German-American Community Choir conducted by Linda Horowitz. On May 1 the choir will take the work to the Orangerie in Darmstadt, a major hub for new music in Germany.

On April 28 the Westminster Williamson Voices, conducted by James Jordan will perform the work at the Princeton Presbyterian Church. They are joined by an international line up of performers including soprano Arianna Zukerman who performed the Netherlands Premiere of the chamber version. The choir are also making the first commercial recording of Annelies which is to be released early next year.
