Ludovico Einaudi commits music publishing future to Wise Music Group
The Italian composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi has agreed a new, exclusive long-term publishing contract with Chester Music Limited, part of Wise Music Group of Companies.

Ludovico Einaudi comments: 'Wise Music is like a big beautiful family. In the last years we have done so many amazing projects together and I am very proud to continue this fantastic adventure with them.'

Chris Butler, Director of Global Rights Development at Wise Music says: 'Working with Ludovico over a sustained period has been a revelation and it is a privilege to publish the music of such a creative composer, artist and performer. Each project scales new heights of innovation and there is so much more to come as we continue the partnership. Ludovico has recently been acknowledged as the most streamed classical artist of all time, quite aside from his pre-eminence as a live performer, and his enduring popularity in the synchronisation market.'

Seven Days Walking
Einaudi is currently on a sell-out world tour of his latest ambitious multi-recording project Seven Days Walking. The project is inspired by Einaudi’s winter walks through the mountains near his home, his thoughts free to roam inside the storm. In concert he’s joined by Redi Hasa on cello and Federico Mecozzi on violin to perform excerpts from Seven Days.

The septet of monthly releases for Decca, culminates in September 2019 with Day Seven and a complete box set. Day One became the fastest-streamed classical album of all time worldwide in its first week of release, exceeding 2 million streams on release day alone.

‘The idea first came to me as I was listening to the recordings of the first sessions’, Einaudi says of the project. ‘Each version seemed to me to have its own personality, with subtleties so distinct from one another that I was unable to choose which I preferred. I associated everything with walking, with the experience of following the same routes over and over, discovering new details each time.'

About Ludovico Einaudi...
His phenomenal CD sales and ability to sell out major concert halls worldwide are confirmation that Einaudi is one of classical music’s success stories of recent years. After studying at the Conservatory in Milan, and subsequently with Berio, he spent several years composing in traditional forms. In the mid-1980s he began to search for a more personal expression in a series of works for dance and multimedia, and later for piano. His music is ambient, meditative and often introspective, drawing on minimalism, world music and contemporary pop. He has made a significant impact in the film world, with four international awards to his name. Read more...
