New Florence Price Titles Available from G. Schirmer

Following G. Schirmer's 2018 acquisition of the worldwide rights to Florence Price's incredible catalog, our production team has created newly engraved performance materials to the majority of her orchestral works, including symphonies, tone poems, and concerti, with more to come. Her music is to be widely performed in the 2019-2020 season, including on subscription programs by The Cleveland Orchestra, and the Chicago, Baltimore, and New York Youth Symphony Orchestras.

In an effort to provide further context around Price's life and works, we will soon be able to share an extended dialog between esteemed Price musicologist Douglas W. Shadle and pianist, scholar, and educator Samantha Ege, who has recorded two of Price's solo piano compositions, and is at work on a doctoral dissertation on Price at the University of York.
