From February 5 to April 11 2019,
Lera Auerbach is an artist in residence in the city of New Orleans. To make this possible, five cultural institutions of the Metropolis on the Mississippi joined forces: the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the New Orleans Opera, the New Orleans Friends of Music, the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans, and Loyola University New Orleans. In the foreground are musical events such as the US premiere of her third symphony,
The Infant Minstrel and His Peculiar Menagerie, the re-staging of her choral opera
