La Belle et la Bête returns to New York

The Tribeca Film Festival and The Town Hall in association with Pomegranate Arts present a screening of Jean Cocteau's film La belle et la bête, featuring Glass's original score played live by the Philip Glass Ensemble
Symphony No 11

The Queensland Symphony Orchestra, a co-commissioner of Glass's Symphony No 11, presents its Australian premiere
Music in Twelve Parts

Music in Twelve Parts premiered in 1974. Until now it has only ever been performed by the composer's group, the Philip Glass Ensemble. Now, in his 80th birthday year, Glass passes the baton on to a specially selected group of musicians, allowing a new generation to continue his work

The Opera Theater of Saint Louis gives the US premiere of The Trial directed by Michael McCarthy. Based on Franz Kafka’s novel, this dark comedy comes to St. Louis after a sold-out run at London's Royal Opera House

Glass holds the Richard and Barbara Debs Composer's Chair at Carnegie Hall for the 2017-2018 season. Highlights will include performances by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra with Anoushka Shankar, the Louisiana Philharmonic, Nico Muhly, the Philip Glass Ensemble, and the American Composers Orchestra
