Craig Armstrong at Celtic Connections

Craig Armstrong at Celtic Connections
Award-winning composer Craig Armstrong has always credited his Glasgow birthplace as being fundamental to his success. This year will see his success recognised within the city at the Celtic Connections festival (Jan 15-Feb 1) in a concert featuring his works. This concert has
additional significance in relation to Armstrong’s new album, It’s Nearly Tomorrow, one which he described as a ‘Glaswegian record’ since the performers were drawn from the city. The event will involve performances of some of Armstrong’s best-loved cinematic works, alongside performances of tracks from his new album, as Armstrong joins forces with the Orchestra of Scottish Opera and a number of guest performers. The concert will take place at 7.30pm on January 27 in the Main Auditorium of Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
