Other new concert works this season include Eos by Augusta Read Thomas for the Utah Symphony and their music director Thierry Fischer, which will premiere on February 20–21 2015.
The Houston Symphony will premiere a new symphonic dance by an expert in that genre, Gabriela Lena Frank. With three symphonic dances already in her catalogue, Frank’s fourth dance, Karnavalingo, was commissioned to welcome the symphony’s new music director, Andrés Orozco-Estrada.
