This Sunday October 5 there is a whole day devoted to Tavener’s life and work – the BBC Symphony Orchestra Total Immersion: John Tavener Remembered, including choral & chamber music, films and a roundtable, a learning performance and then an evening concert with the BBC Symphony Orchestra including the Akhmatova Requiem, and The Protecting Veil.
