The Swiss premiere of Nanine Linning’s dance work Zero with music by Julia Wolfe (Fuel) and Philip Glass (Company) will take place on December 6 2013 at the Konzert Theater Bern and runs through to January 7 2014. Zero is co-produced by Dance Company Nanine Linning /Theater Heidelberg and Konzert Theater Bern. The music will be performed live by Berner Symphonieorchester conducted by Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla.

The choreography was given its world premiere earlier in 2013 at Theater Heidelberg and received a standing ovation. It is the first work for Linning’s newly formed Dance Company Nanine Linning/Theater Heidelberg. Zero depicts Nanine Linning’s own imagination of apocalypse. Regarding every ending as a new starting point she investigates the transformation of life. The play with gravity and weightlessness is significant in the creative process of the piece.

Zero is a multimedia production of deeply intense tableaux vivants, music of driving relentlessness, futuristic costumes, a sensitive lighting design, film and stage technique.
Nanine Linning is known for her very modern and interdisciplinary approach to choreography.

Zero was nominated in the choreography category for the prize Deutscher Theaterpreis DER FAUST 2013.
