Alberto Iglesias “Best Composer” in the European Films Awards 2012
UME composer Alberto Iglesias received the EFA Award (European Films Awards) last Saturday night in La Valetta (Malta) for his outstanding work in the soundtrack of the motion picture Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. It is his fifth nomination and the third time he receives this prestigious award of European cinema. In 2006 he received it for the soundtrack of Volver and in 2009 for The Broken Embraces.

Alberto Iglesias could not attend to the ceremony, but thanked the Swedish director Tomas Alfredson, to whom he was very close during the process of composition.

The Spanish composer is now working on a further collaboration with Pedro Almodóvar. The result will be the soundtrack of the film, Los amantes pasajeros, which is currently on post-production.
