Mealor on Songs of Praise

Paul Mealor featured on Sunday's episode of Songs of Praise 'Scottish Voices'. The programme included 'I am the gentle light' and 'O Sanctissima Maria', as well as an interview with Paul himself.
Mealor was thrown into the limelight back in April 2011, when his motet, Ubi Caritas, was performed at the wedding of HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton. Since then, Paul composed 'Wherever You Are' for the BBC Choir series, which was based on letters to and from troops serving in Afghanistan. This work achieved the highest placing of any new entry in the history of the Classic FM Hall of Fame, charting at No 5.
