Howard Blake’s score to the 1982 animated film, “The Snowman,” is hugely popular worldwide.

Although the film is best known for the track Walking in the Air, there is a concert version of the full work orchestrated for boy soprano, narrator/speaker and full orchestra, suitable for both professional and amateur orchestras.

This holiday season, Chester Music has been alerted to performances by 20 different orchestras around the world who have programmed the concert version. The dates range from late November to late January in venues spanning London and Canada. There is ample opportunity to listen to a performance of The Snowman at a venue near you.
