News - Scanner joins Music Sales
has entered a long term publishing agreement with Chester Music, part of the Music Sales Group of Companies.
He is very experimental because he is searching in a realm of sound which is not usually used for music... he has a good sense of atmosphere.
Karlheinz Stockhausen, BBC
I am delighted to have signed with Chester Music, as for me it now offers an amiable and professional supportive base for my practice which has long been fiercely independent and exploratory in spirit. It connects my work with a wealth of history, with fellow composers and writers who have often changed how we listen to music today. In a creative world that has become increasingly disenchanted with the 'business' of music, it's a joy to come aboard with people who truly cherish music. I believe my work will bring something unique and distinguished to their catalogue and long after I'm gone that they can continue to share it with the world at large.
James Rushton, Managing Director of Chester Music, comments:
Robin Rimbaud is an exceptionally creative artist and composer. His original thinking and original approach to the creation of and delivery of music across a wide range of genres, idioms and platforms is very attractive to us and very much of our time. We are extremely excited about the potential of the relationship and of Robin's music. We warmly welcome him to the Music Sales Group.
The Dutch Queen Beatrix officially opened the new
