Synopsis:
Set in the 14th century, Martin is an orphan in an asylum run by a loving housekeeper and a kind priest. Alone in the kitchen at night, Martin gives refuge to a stranger who claims to be his father. When Martin lies to the sheriff to protect the stranger, he is faced with torture and dies of fright.
