Programme Note

This hardly two minutes long piece was written on the proposal from David Starobin, the guitarist: a tiny dancelike movement to go along with other similar bagatelles from all over the world.

The title (Italian for contentment, tranquility) refers partly to the soft, gracious dancelike rhythm - breathing pace - partly to the 15 years old work "Daggry" (Danish for fawn), for soprano, alto flute and guitar. The poem (by Henrik Nordbrandt) is a kind of love-song - but after lovemaking.

The composer proposes a performance of "Daggry" should be followed by "Serenita".
