Originally edited by Harry Wooldridge and Godfrey Arkwright (1904). Lionel Pike’s new edition takes account of a plethora of manuscript sources which were unknown or unavailable to the original editors, and includes not only the original symphony-anthem version of It is a good thing to give thanks and of Rejoice in the Lord alway but also very early arrangements of both pieces for performance without strings.
