ROUND composed 1981 for Eb alto saxophone solo.
The composition is of circular form, passing through different series of mutation. The starting section, Ben Ritmico, is built of easy chromatic full-toned repeating staccato series arranged in circling rhythmic interference.
The Fluente-section in pianissimo has a chromatic circling motif in irregular variations. The Misterioso is a sort of solo cadenza, with whispering effects as multiphonics, growl and slap tongue. The piece returns to the point of departure, the Ben Ritmico section, as the traditional round dance or rondo.
