Programme Note
BLÜTENWEISS (in german blossom white) is a companion piece to Dunkelblau (german for dark blue, also in the meaning obscure and twilight) for flute, viola and harp. Both titles refer to Germanic intellectual life. The colour blütenweiss give an account not only to white, but also to full bloom. The colour is a metaphor for the untraditional sound constellation of recorder and accordion.
