Programme Note

How to describe a piece that has its premise in the idea of elusiveness and quicksilver shape shifting? There is a ghost of a vaguely tripartite shape behind the piece - fast, slow, fast, but that seems too simplistic. I had at all times the image of Giacometti paring away at his already much reduced mirage-like figures. He spoke of how he felt that at any moment there was always the danger that his work in progress could collapse and disappear without trace, "Danger of the Disappearance of Things" I try to capture that sense of danger in this piece.
