Texts:
II Timothy I, 6-9 KJV
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Be not therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be though partaker of the affliction of the gospel according to the power of God;

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was give us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

I John III, 7-11
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
