Kad ja podoh na Bembašu is a folk tune widely regarded as the unofficial national anthem of Sarajevo. This arrangement was made for Ivana Gavric´ 's album entitled Origins on the Rubicon Classics label. The CD also features my piano concerto, Between the Skies, the River and the Hills, which features the folk tune in the final movement. —Cheryl Frances-Hoad, 2019
Programme Note
An arrangement of a traditional song from Sarejevo for solo piano, written for pianist Ivana Gavric's CD to be released in September 2019. This theme features in the third movement of Cheryl's piano concerto 'Between the Skies, the River and the Hills'.
