Commissioned in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Choir of Christ Church Christiana Hundred, Wilmington, Delaware, U.S.A. First performed on 19 October 2014 by them, William Owen, music director, and David Hearn, organist. The orchestrated version was commissioned by the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and first performed on 25 October 2014 at Liverpool Cathedral, England, conducted by Vasily Petrenko.
