John Tavener Scatter Roses Over My Tears (2013)
This work is a meditation on the thirteenth-century Persian poet and Sufi

"It was like a series of litanies, each instrument uttering a prayer in turn. The hushed, austere tracery of these instrumental prayers harked back to late Stravinsky, but only Tavener could have written the warmly euphonious refrains."
Ivan Hewett, Telegraph,13/07/2014
