Programme Note
A unique dance-science collaboration by Sadler’s Wells New Wave Associate Alexander Whitley and award winning artists, Daniel Wohl (composer) and Tal Rosner (video artist) in partnership with the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL), the UK’s largest centre for the study of space science. This work for eight dancers has been commissioned by Sadler’s Wells and co-commissioned by DanceEast.
Taking inspiration from the stunning images and data that are produced by the solar science research within RAL Space, this ambitious project aims to create an immersive environment of dance, music and film and to provide a vivid and tangible engagement with complex scientific ideas.
