The original version was premiered on 2 November 2011 during the "Monstrance” installation, in collaboration with Matthew Ritchie, at L&M Arts Los Angeles. The version for strings was commissioned by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus and first performed on 19 May 2012, conducted by Dianne Berkun-Menaker
