Crucifixus was commissioned by the sound Festival, and premiered by the National Youth Choir of Scotland, the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland Futures Ensemble with baritone soloist Jeremy Huw Williams, conducted by Christopher Bell at St Machar Cathedral, Aberdeen on 11 November 2012.
