Programme Note
In the mist was written whilst I was a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center in the summer of 2008. I had the opportunity to work with the poet Lloyd Schwartz, setting one of his existing poems to music. It was written for the tenor Samuel Reade Levine and Tatiana Vassellieva, piano and first performed in the chamber Music Hall, Tanglewood.
