King Nebukanezar made an image of gold and told his people to worship it. When three jews refused, he sent them into a burning fiery furnace. But God made an angel appear that guided them unharmed through the fire. And the king decreed that anyone who speak amiss against God shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill; because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
Burning Fiery Furnace is commissioned by the Usedom Musikfestival for the Baltic Youth Philharmonic and is dedicated to the victims of war and violence.
