Reviews
Robert Wilson's stunning new production of Four Saints in Three Acts baffled and delighted an appreciative audience. Stein's language is always simple but baffling; Thomson's music is tonal, melodic, nostalgic but jagged and suspended...But it adds up. Stein and Thomson would have loved it. Opera, like religion, can be fun, even witty, they seem to be saying. Or successful.
