Programme Note
At some time in the winter 1982-83 when I was on the Faroe Islands, I had the idea of writing a paraphrase over Lennon/McCartney's mystical song Blackbird from "The White Album". One could call it a deconstruction of Blackbird: to cut open the bird to see how it manages to sing. The piece was, however, not finished until 1987.
