Programme Note
This work is the third section of the great ”family-circle”, The Tempered Piano (total duration approximately 6 hours). The Tempered Piano I is composed in 1964 and dedicated to my wife Birthe and our little son Nikolaj – just born at that time.
The Tempered Piano II is composed in 1975-76 and is dedicated to my daughter Maria. The Tempered Piano III – composed in 1976-77 – is dedicated to my two adult sons Anders and Karl.
