Programme Note
This short piece, commissioned by the Cultural Programmes Committee for the London Celebrations of the Silver Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, is based, the composer writes, "on fanfare-like figurations. It has, so to speak, two verses - the first for brass and percussion and the second a re-working of the same music for full orchestra."
