        Programme Note

        A Miniature is a short work in seven movements. Each movement focuses on a solo instrument or one of the smaller groups of the sinfonietta (the string quartet for instance). The music appears as if like two distinct two characters: either an extrovert, colourful and muscular in its expressionism, or a timid, young girl-like movement with a prevalent sense of nostalgia to it.

        A Miniature is written for Aarhus Sinfonietta at the initiative of Musikhøst 95. .
