Sergio Blardony was born in Madrid in 1965. After his apprenticeship at The Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid he studied with Roberto J. de Vittorio and J.L. de Delás. He also took specialization courses under the guidance of Helmut Lachenmann, Enrico Fubini, Luis de Pablo and others. Since then, Blardony has composed over 70 works for every genre and timbral resources. He has been awarded international prizes such as SGAE Prize in Music Composition, the ‘City of Tarragona’ International Award or the Shut Up And Listen! Award. His orchestral compositions have been performed all over the world by conductors like  Arturo Tamayo, José Ramón Encinar, José De Eusebio, Nacho de Paz, or José Luis Temes. Artists like Andrés Gomis, Jonathan Carney, Patricia Rozario or Carlos Bonell have performed his works in solo recitals or along with ensembles and orchestras as Trío Arbós, Plural Ensemble, Orquesta Nacional de España, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra or St. Petersburg Camerata Orchestra.
