Just released is DaCapo Records’ premiere recording of Poul Ruders’s opera Kafka’s Trial. Inspired by Franz Kafka’s visionary novel The Trial, Ruders’s opera was commissioned by and premiered in 2005 at the Danish National Opera. Those performances are captured here on disc, with conductor Thomas Søndergård leading the Danish National Orchestra and Opera Choir. US release date: 20 June.
