German Premier of Salonen’s for cello and chamber orchestra

As part of the preliminary programme of Magma2002Berlin the Deutsches Symphony Orchestra will give the German Premiere of Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Mania. The soloist will be the young German cellist Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt with Fabrice Bollon conducting. Amongst others the programme features Kaija Saariaho’s Nymphea Reflection. The concert will be given as part of the prestigious series Musik der Gegenwart of the SFB (Sender Freies Berlin).
