On 11 and 12 June Andre Previn will conduct the London Symphony Orchestra in the European premiere of his new Violin Concerto with soloist Anne-Sophie Mutter. Commissioned by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and written especially for Ms Mutter, the work received its world premiere in Boston in March this year to great critical acclaim. The Boston Herald described it as "...a mature and deeply affecting work filled with Previn's particular blend of energy ... a marvellous vehicle for Anne-Sophie Mutter."
