The Music Sales Group, one of the world's leading publishing companies, is recruiting an Assistant Administrator (Classical) to work within the Music Sales Creative team.
Our publishing houses include Chester Music, Novello & Co, G Schirmer, AMP, Edition Wilhelm Hansen, UME and Leduc, with living composers including Judith Weir, Joby Talbot, Ludovico Einaudi, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Bryce Dessner, Richard Reed Parry, Hauschka, Tarik O'Regan, Thea Musgrave, Tan Dun, Kaija Saariaho, Peter Maxwell Davies, Paul Mealor, Philip Glass and many others. Some highlights of the back catalogue repertoire are works by Igor Stravinsky, Francis Poulenc, Samuel Barber, Malcolm Arnold, Witold Lutosławski, Richard Rodney Bennett and John Tavener.
Outline
To provide administrative support to the Music Sales Creative department.
Daily office tasks
Collection and distribution of newspapers
Distribution of post
Ensuring upkeep of tidy office, including:
General sorting of magazines, scores, promotional material
Ensuring regular supply of stationary, paper, envelopes etc., for departmental use
Administrative duties
Performance entering
Upkeep of composer information on Amadeus
New recording filing, logging and addition of details to Classical website
Score filing
CD filing, logging and copying
Assistance with distribution of promotional mailings, brochures, CDs etc.
Film and TV audio database upkeep
Assistance as required at internal promotional events
Skills
Organisation and office management
Attention to detail, essential for data entry
Ability to work well in a team
Salary
17-18K, depending on experience
