Left, alone - the new piano concerto by Hans Abrahamsen

The soloist will be Alexandre Tharaud, whom the piece was written for. He is an absolutely unique artist character who has established his profile as a repertoire seeker and an authentic performer.
Left, alone was initiated by the WDR and co-comissioned by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. All of them will have performed the work by the end of the year.
