From March 21 - April 2, the Bang on a Can All-Stars tour Asia, making their South Korean debut in addition to returning to China! The band starts off in Beijing for a residency and concert at the Central Conservatory of Music, moves on to Macao's Cultural Center, then journeys to South Korea for the Tongyeong International Music Festival and concerts in Seoul at the Kumho Art Hall and LG Arts Centre.

The concerts will include the country premieres of Julia Wolfe's gritty chamber work Believing, her portion of their stage show "Field Recordings" called Reeling, and her intense, virtuosic statement Big Beautiful Dark and Scary.  Other major premieres for the region will include David Lang’s unorthodox Cheating, Lying, Stealing, which comes with the tempo instruction of “An Ominous Funk,” and Michael Gordon’s homage for Madeline, based on the Jewish Kaddish prayer.
