Elgar Cello Concerto - new edition

Novello & Co are pleased to announce a new edition of Elgar's own cello and piano version of his Concerto for Violoncello for Orchestra. First performed in 1919, this was Elgar’s last major completed work. It has become one of the best loved and most frequently performed concertos for cello.

For this new edition of Elgar’s arrangement for cello and piano, having consulted the composer’s hitherto unrecognised composition sketch, John Pickard (General Editor of the Elgar Society Edition) has taken careful account of differences with the printed full score, to provide the clearest possible version for cellists preparing to perform the work.
