Mezzo soprano Susan Bickley and musicians will give the world premiere of Poems for Angus by Stuart MacRae on October 18. The piece, settings of Scottish poet Norman MacCaig, will be performed in the Crush Room of the Royal Opera House, London, as part of the ROH lunchtime series. Next year the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra will perform a new work by MacRae, who is currently working on a new co-commission for Scottish Opera and Music Theatre Wales.
