The youthful composer and conductor Eric Whitacre will travel around the US this spring to participate in the World Premieres of his ever-popular choral music.

On March 15, Distinguished Concerts International New York will host a concert of mostly Whitacre music at Lincoln Center in New York City. The performance will feature Mr. Whitacre conducting several of his works, including the World Premiere of Animal Crackers II, his second work based on the poetry of Ogden Nash.

On March 22, VocalEssence will host the Eric Whitacre Extravaganza in Minneapolis, MN. This concert will bring together the singers of VocalEssence, St. Olaf Choir and the 160-voice Minnesota Honors Choir. Whitacre will conduct the World Premiere of Nox, based on themes from his musical Paradise Lost: Shadows and Wings and many more of his choral works. This concert will follow Sing with Eric Whitacre a community sing event on March 20 with Mr. Whitacre conducting his works.
