O'Regan: 'Threshold of Night' Released
Tarik O'Regan's new CD, "Threshold of Night," has just been released on the Harmonia Mundi label in the US and will be released in the UK in September 2008. It features Conspirare, under the direction of Craig Hella Johnson, singing several of O'Regan's choral works: Had I Not Seen the Sun (2007), The Ecstasies Above (2006), Threshold of Night (2006), Tal vez tenemos tiempo (2007), Care Charminge Sleepe (2003, rev. 2007), Triptych (2005), and I Had No Time to Hate (2007).

In the US, "Threshold of Night" was featured on WNYC's "New Sounds" program hosted by John Schaefer. This new release has already received glowing reviews. David Vernier of ClassicsToday.com wrote, "The seven works on offer here, all recorded for the first time (several commissioned for this CD), are not only significant and eminently worthy entries into the modern choral repertoire, but they also are accessible in the best sense of the word — that is, the music immediately reveals itself and rewards careful, serious listening."
