A busy year for Joby Talbot has already witnessed the premiere of Eau a 70 minute orchestral work for the Carolyn Carlson Company. It opened to packed houses in the opera house in Lille in April, and the production is touring in Europe and Asia over the next few years. The summer sees a flurry of performances of outstanding choreography to Talbot’s music. Entity, for Wayne McGregor’s Random Dance tours to no less than 14 countries between June and December. This flagship piece from McGregor is based on Talbot’s two quartets Manual Override and String Quartet No 2 alongside works for solo cello and electronics, Falling and Motion Detector . At Sadler’s Wells and also New York City Center in September and October, Morphoses -The Wheeldon Company presents Fool’s Paradise to Talbot’s orchestrated version of his chamber work The Dying Swan .
