Serenades , a setting of poems by John Skelton(1460-1529) for unaccompanied chorus by Richard Rodney Bennett will receive its public premiere on July 18 at the Ryedale Festival. The five poems are Mistress Margaret, Mistress Margery,Mistress Anne,My Darling Dear and Mistress Isabel. The BBC Singers conducted by Stephen Cleoobury gave the premiere broadcast of Serenades in December 2007 alongside music by John Joubert.
