Haflidi Hallgrimsson has been appointed composer in residence with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra for the three-year period 2008-11. During his residency he will compose a series of new works for the orchestra, which will sit alongside performances of existing pieces. The Iceland Symphony Orchestra has regularly performed Hallgrímsson’s music over the years.
