Patrick Hawes Lazarus Requiem premiere

Lazarus Requiem, a new oratorio by Patrick Hawes, receives its world premiere on 14 March at Cadogan Hall, London. The piece is the composer’s largest to date and is a setting of the traditional Latin text from the Requiem Mass alongside an account in English of the raising of Lazarus. The premiere, which will be conducted by the composer, features Conventus, the Tallis Chamber Choir and English Chamber Orchestra, and also includes music from Blue in Blue and Towards the Light.
