Points of View, a new work for chamber orchestra by Thea Musgrave, is premiered by the Manchester Camerata conducted by Nicholas Kraemer at the RNCM in Manchester on February 23.

In the composer’s words, the piece “is a musical work about the different musical elements, which are personified by soloists from the orchestra….” The music leads the listener around the ensemble before the sections are unified in the work’s climax.

Points of View has been jointly commissioned by the Manchester Camerata and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and will be performed by the SCO in December.
